The "trophy room" has a few trophies but no room. This is a small start:

I put the elephant tusks in the table myself. Just got it all put together yesterday. It still needs a few finishing touches.

This mule deer buck was taken in Western Kansas with a muzzleloader.

This is a local (Central Coast of CA blacktail) buck taken on one of our hunting leases. (I passed him opening morning to leave him for clients but the second time I saw him the clients were done for the season and I couldn't pass him a second time!)

This pronghorn was taken in the Northeastern corner of California.

And no... I don't have a local boar head on the wall. No excuse really, I just haven't shot one for myself in a while.

There are another 15 or so African trophies waiting for the ca$h and space to get the taxidermy finished and a place to hang them. Someday!

Kyler

Kyler; I really like the table/tusk arrangement, VERY tastefully done. Yeah, you ned to get those arica trophies out soon, the deer/antelope stuff just don't do your tusks justice. I notice you live in Atascadero. Man, if I lived there I'd be a pest over at Weatherbys trying to play with their guns every day. To bad they don't have a retail store anymore with all of Roy Weatherby's trophies out. Congrats onthe tusks again. jorge

Thanks for the comments. I'm glad you guys like the table. It was an idea my wife and I came up with. I was afraid with kids wandering around that pedestals would get knocked over. Now they're protected and we liked that the design was different.

Widow,
The prongs are about 6 1/2".

Jorge,
I do know and shoot with a few guys at Weatherby but as you mentioned it isn't a "hang around" sort of place.

Kyler

Kyler,
I've always admired your tusks from your signature pic. How much do they weigh?

Geoff,
Thanks, they weigh 57x60. Darn sight better than I deserved.

While I was fitting them in the table they had to repeatedly be fished into position without wrecking the table. It felt like they weighed at least 350lbs. each! Wink

It maybe just a start, but not many people get to start their trophy room with elephant tusks. They look great in the table.

Those tusks look really great Kyler. Much better than the ones in the muffler cans Smiler

Nice start to a trophy room. I do think you should have a huge piggie though.
