Hi all,

Can anyone give me the measures of a zebra hide, please?
Length x width.

Thinking of trophies and I've understood that many people have been surprised by the very size of the zebra hide.

My Burchell's stallion below is 11'6" from nose to tip of tail. At the widest across the front legs, which are obviously shortened above the knee, it's 6', and at the rear it is 6'7" at the widest part.

I think most zebra rugs are close in size. It also depends on whether or not you have it backed, and the visual impact that will give it.

My plain flat-skin Hartmann's is 7'0" by 11' 0", and the big male Burchell's is 7'8" by 10'6" with a 1 inch black felt border all around.

Indeed. I put that one at an angle to get it all on the wall as best as I could. The wall is 10'3" along the baseboard. As you can see, there's about an inch of the lower part of the head that isn't over the wall, and there's about 6" of tail hanging down in the corner. The back leg slightly overlaps the baseboard, as well.

Thank ya'll!
Seems it'll be more reasonable to have a zebra rug made than a giraffe one... thumb
