Some of these mounts I killed 30 years ago. It seemed like a lot of money for a shoulder mount of a hog, deer or cat rug, but I enjoy them everyday and its probably the best return on any money I have ever spent.

Will's room will be finished soon and I'm looking forward to it. I just thought I had better get this done before he posts. I have a feeling his will dominate for awhile.

Joe,
The room is 12'X20' with 13' ceiling at the highest point. It really is comfortable for me. There is still wall space available for a shipment of trophies I am expecting from Zambia.

There has been discussions on wether to get trophies mounted, just take photos or have your hunts filmed. I can't say enough on how much I have enjoyed these mounts and the memories thay have given me. I don't get everything mounted, just the ones that I don't ever want to forget. I have told my daughters that they can sell everything when I'm gone, except the Zebra Hoof Lamp. I want that in the family forever Wink.

Field photos of a couple of the mounts killed 30 years ago.

I did a little renovation in my home and set myself up with a smaller office but ran out of room. I have five African mounts in the basement waiting for a home on the wall. Your room looks great. I want to do something similar someday.

That is a great trophy room. Congrats. I built a 20X20 room with 14 foot ceilings ten years ago. I thought I had more than enough wall space and ceiling height. But after a two safaris to Africa and half a dozen hunts in Canada and Western US, I am out of room and I do not mount everything. My advice to anyone building a home or planning a trophy room is to double the size.

That lizard is taking up a lot of trophy room. Maybe he should have been boots or a suitcase?

Really nice.
A question. I have been looking for a similar poster, like the one on your wall. With the African map and it´s wildlife.

Do you know where I can find one?

Best regards John

You can get those maps from Rowland Ward either laminated or unlaminated. I think Safari Press also sells them and you can avoid the overseas shipping cost.
