Cool. Looking back, I sure wish I would have had a rug made of that big male you called in for me. I have a picture, but it just doesn't do those colors justice like a rug would. Oh well, maybe next time...

Yea the jackal makes a good flat skin.

They have lots of color.

I have had quite a few done but when I took this guy (one of the same stands we hunted) I knew he had to become a mount as a 30lb jackal is very rare in South Africa and Namibia according to stats we kept over a few years.

Trophex made a full body mount for me two years ago. It took some skill, since I had shot him about 65 yards away thru the shoulder with a Barnes TSX 180gr factory load.

It is in a standing position on a pedestal, and they made a very nice contrasting hide with the silver and black on tan.

Jerry Huffaker did a full body mount jackal for me that turned out really well. I'll try to remember to take a couple of pics tonight.
