Turkey that was harvested 5-07-2010 in Caswell co.- North Carolina. This was one tough tom the day before closing of the season.I heard him when I got out of the truck.I went all out and set up a pretty boy decoy,a mating hen decoy, and a jake decoy.I then set up and started calling. He responded good for about 30 min.s then just stopped like the tom had gottenn hung up about 200 yards away.I stopped calling and played hard to get.Two hours and 15 min.s later the tom came up behind me.I saw him coming around my left side and he was intently watching the decoys. The tom was watching the decoys so much that he almost tripped over a stick! When he got 40 yards away I got him wiith a mossberg 835 and using Win. Super X HV 12ga. 3 1/2" of #4s.When I got him home I measured him.He was 20lbs 6ozs 9.5" beard and 1" spurs. After recording him I started the process of prepping this tom for a mount. Here is pictures of the day I harvested this tom and today I finished the mount.Tell me what you think, good or bad.The only thing that can happen is that it gets better!
