I shot the buck on the last day of 2007 MN firearms deer season with my 25-06. I had my 9 yr old boy with me, who is just facinated with horns. Don't really get too excited if I shoot a doe.
This fall I had him (now 10) on an early fireams antlerless hunt and he was going to be the shooter. We almost got a shot at a doe. She was coming straight on and I wanted him to wait until she turned broadside and it never happened. He had a pretty good case of buck fever or doe fever I should say. Thats the only doe we saw that weekend.....very crappy weather...heavy rain. It was worth going out just to see him react to almost getting a shot.
