Okay from the photos you may figure out this isn't November in Texas. In fact it was August and over 100 degrees. They finally arrived and no I am not going to wait until it cools down to unpack. Here are just a few of the photos the wife took of me unpacking and hanging my mounts.

Very nice!

Good to see that your trophies were packaged well and arrived safely.

The quality is of those shoulder mounts exceptional.

Nice looking mounts!
It's always a relief to get them safe home and on the walls.
The pictures really captured the excitement and anticipation of opening the crates. Smiler

I'm always amazed on how they're able to crate so effectively. You get the crate home and wonder;
"How can this crate really have two big shoulder mounts in it? They must have forgotten something."

Nice trophies sir.

Are the gemsbok horns in pieces? In the photograph in the crate it appears that they are shorter than they obviously really are. I suspect it is just my ignorance as to how taxidermists do their thing but I thought I would ask.

Thanks,
John

John,

The Gemsbok horns come separate and fit right onto the short "horns". My wife think they would make good weapons in a pinch. They definitely have a sharp point.

Thanks, I thought that was the case. Have my first trip planned for the Spring and Gemsbok is on the list. Doing my homework and nice to know what to expect when I get that far.

Thanks,
John
