Building a 26x22’ room, 12’ ceiling. No windows, only 2 doors.

I have been researching lighting and found info that says cans every 36” placed 24” from walls, then track lights at 8’ from walls to illuminate the mounts. All lights on dimmers.

That’s a ton of lights! Images online of other trophy rooms rarely show that many lights.

Opinions?

Start framing tomorrow. Luckily, changes are no problem. I don’t need blueprints or city approval or any other bs since I live in a free state and do as I like.

My office /Trophy room has 11 ft ceilings. I have 4" LED can lights spaced every 6 ft.
Seems to plenty of light with dark wood floors and dark walnut up 5ft on the wall

Thanks. That is about what I settled on. 5-6’ 4” cans, dimmable and track lighting on ceiling 8’ from the wall, also dimmable.

Guys are almost done framing it. Should be completed by tomorrow, I’ll run electrical on Monday, spray foam then 3/4” plywood and Sheetrock.

If you install tracks in strategic places, you can mount as many LED lights as you wish, and point them in the required dimensions as they con on swivels.

I have installed these on my loading room, and they incredibly useful.

Thanks Saeed. Thats Basically what I did.

I am almost done wiring. What I came up with is solid tracks 8’ from all walls and cans all the way around, 24” from walls about 4.5’ apart.

Everything is on dimmers.

In addition to that:

HDMI cables from desk area (north wall) to center of ceiling (hooks up to ceiling mounted projector in center of room)

HDMI cable from projector to South wall (projector to sound system).

South wall has a big pull down screen that covers a slatwall on south wall. This is workbench, loading bench etc wall.

This is identical to what I did in my previous house and I really liked it. It’s basically a 120” TV that rolls up out of the way when not needed.

That’s my old room, that was just a reloading room. This style will be applied to only one wall in the new room.

You can see the screen hanging on the left wall.

New room is 4 times the size of the old room.

I cannot imagine why??

Our members can link and mention any site.

In fact, the more hunting sites we have the better.

It’s a community, not a competition. I enjoy all hunting forums for their specific contributions. ROKSLIDE, 24 hr campfire, long range hunting, AR all contribute something different.

It’s not like this is a PETA site.

Oh well …
