I like how you have them laying down. It looks like they're in there relaxing!

Thanks everyone!

Now, like many of you I imagine, I have..

A Carpathian Chamois sitting in Romania, a Bezoar Ibex in Turkey, two Buffalo and bunch of plains game sitting somewhere in Joberg (I hope)..

Someday hopefully they will all make it to Ohio........

Well.. First off, while you are technically correct that they are dead and mounted ("stuffed") is not accurate, My family and I view each and every mount (as I believe many on here do) as a MEMORY. I do not collect trophies - I collect memories. In my view, the mounts preserve the memories of both the event and the magnificence of the animal.

My wife has accompanied me on several hunts and some of the mounts are those of my son and daughter from trips we have taken together. These memories are large part of our family legacy and I expect my son and daughter will preserve the legacy for my two grandsons my wonderful daughter has given us. Will they hunt - well I'm afraid that future is uncertain for us all :-(

But the bottom line is - when I'm dead I probably won't worry about it :-)

It was just a question, "when I'm dead I probably won't worry about it" is an interesting Answer.
