My wife decided to try a different paint scheme in our trophy room. It's called "Suede." It involves 2 coats of textured paint and then a third coat making little x's with a brush. You can't really tell alot from the photos-but she did AWESOME!!

I think it looks good, but I don't think it looks like something I would want in my trophy room. As it doesn't offer enough contrast to work well with the color of the animals in your house.

It would look great with black bears, sable antelope, and tahr.

Looks good, nice effect with several of the mounts. Very "earthy" color. I do like the half-wall wainscot design, for displaying smaller items.

Blank your onto it. The contrast it would give as a half wall would look nice.

Thanks guys-

D99-we are looking at doing some barnwood on the bottom portion of the room. Just odn't know yet. I obviously need a bigger house-casue I have no more room for anything! Don't know how much more $$ I want to stick into the room!

Hello in Fargo!

Beautiful room-- I'd say that both you and your wife contributed to a swell trophy room! -Love the suede.

BTW... I just finished another part of our Man Cave. The 100 y.o. barn wood was a lot of fun to use-- and looks great.

Your wife did great on the paint job. I also really like the ledge you have on bottom section around part of the room, and the angled shields you have for the skull mounts. Is that something you made or is there a place that I can buy those?

Thanks,
Charles

Thanks. I will have to check them out. It gives the wall hung skull mounts a much more natural angle and looks good.
