thanks fot all the nice posts. The suit is carabou skin i wore on my first polar bear hunt(which i didnt even see one but that is another story) They normallymake you one out of raw skin but i told them i would like to have one to bring home. so i sent up meserments and they made me a nice one that even has ears on the hood as well as a tail so i could sneak up on the polar bear. It is great. They tanned it in the only way they could in the village and even chewed the hide prior to tanning to make it soft. It is great the only thing was when it was in the artic it had no smell when it came home it drove us out of the house and had to sit outside for 2 months till the smell got better. even today 10 + years later if you get up on the ledge and turn it inside out it still has a slight smell.

A very impressive room. I see alot of brown bear mounts and I am particularly impressed with the one peering over the rock. The honey badger is pretty neat, too. Thanks for sharing!

Spectacular of course.

My favorite has to be the polar bear and bears just because you so rarely see them and are very well done in your collection.

My other favorite is the leopard. And now that my daughter thinks she wants to "see a leopard" and her dad The Great Texas Hunter LOL LOL get it for her room, I may be looking a trip and a trophy fee and some taxidermy. There are worse things I could do. Thanks.

Pretty lame that you cheaped out and didn't go with the full-sized mount with your elephant.

And what, no narwhal? Sloppy work guy!

Amazing trophies. i really like the fact that you have some of small ones like civet, caracal, ratel etc.

Now you need some Asian animals like Ibex, argali, Urial, markhor etc. Wink

Fantastic. Too many fine trophies on which to comment. I'll limit it to two: The Black Rhino is amazing; and I really love the Grant's, Robert's, Thompson's pedestal. Others are great, it's just that those two struck me.

I covet your full mount Ermine....I only did a shoulder mount on mine as i was short of cash at the time I bagged him. Smiler

Seriously this is a really great room and it is easy to be overwhelmed by the elephant, rhino, polar bear etc. I think the most challenging species in that place might be the wolverine. I think I have seen a grand total of one in 40 years trolling around the woods.
