This is my first antlered buck. I shot him near Chadron, NE in 2001 with my .54 Hawken Rifle. My first Mule Deer buck shot in 2005. I shot him near Ashland, MT with my 7mmRemMag (139gr Hornady Interbond). My firt Antelope and professional mount. Shot in 2006 Montana season. He measures just shy of 13". A respectable do-it-yourself hunt on Block Mgmt. I shot him near Colstrip, MT with my 7mmRemMag (160gr Accubond). Second pic of my 2006 MT Antelope. "We are what we repeatedly do. Oh Yeah I forgot to mention that I don't have a trophy room because I live in an apartment. I'm saving my pennies for a house and then I can have a proper den with many animals. Hopefully the 2007 season gives me a turkey, bear, elk, another antelope, and another deer. "We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then is not an act, but a habit"--Aristotle (384BC-322BC)

Classy. Nothing wrong with those mounts. They'd fit right in with mine. No doubt they each bring back memories when you look at them. Thanks for sharing.

MThuntr, The very title of your posting shows that you know what matters most in a trophy. That of course being the memory held by you the hunter. Well done and cherish your fine accomplishments. Never apologize for size of the horns! What matters is what they mean to you. Heck, I don't have a trophy room either. Mounts are scattered all over the place: living room, office, hall, garage, etc... someday, I'll pull it all together in a separate room. Maybe. I like looking at my ram in my living room. The important thing about your mounts is that they are yours, and that they mean something to you. Whenever you look at them, you can probably remember details about the hunt on which they were taken very clearly. Never apologize about them. Instead, enjoy the memories.
