How to sell a Game Room?

I have a family friend who would like to sell the contents of her late husbands game room. He passed several years ago and she is trying to downsize. It is all north American game and has a Grand Slam of Sheep, a few Mule Deer Mounts, Three Bear Skin Rugs, a full mount Mountain Lion, a Full Mount Bobcat and misc others. Where would I go to sell a collection like this? Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this, I had a hard time figuring out where to post a question like this.

First off if your in California forget sellng the bears and cougar. As far as I know and have read the rules of our state it is illegal to sell them in CA. Call a local taxidermist and then the state wildlife offices before you do something that you shouldn't.

Maybe donate to a museum... Not sure if there would be some sort of tax deuction for that.

Just a thought, but maybe she needs to raise cash.

There are outfits that will buy everything for a price or auction it for you. You may need to transport out of California to do so.

Also, do not have high expectations for the the prices you hope to get. The sheep sell well only if near or better than B&C size.

Donate and take a sizeable tax deduction is worth checking out.

Brad, you may want to give Lolli Bros. a call. I am not affiliated with them and have never worked with them but they seem to be what you're looking for.

Among other things, they are an auction house and deal specifically with hunting trophies. They advertise in Safari, the SCI magazine.

Here's their contact information:

Thanks for all the responses and advice! You guys have given me a few leads/ideas.

I will contact California Fish and Game before I do anything, I did not think about that.

I really appriciate the input, thanks!
