I have a set of kudu horns from my last Namibian hunt, and I wanted to stand them up vertically on either side of my fireplace. I saw it once and the spiral horns looked good like that. I can't seem to find a base or stand that works. Does anyone know of something I can get. I am considering trying to modify a candle holder, but not sure exactly how. Thanks

Thanks Jeff, I will look into that. Do they seem to want to fall over due to the long narrow horn? Did you have to weight the bottom down with anything?

just looked they have some wood cut flush. Does not seem to be weighted Cut them with a table saw so they are perfectly flat. Weighing may help now that I think about it. Good luck NRA LIFE MEMBER DU DIAMOND SPONSOR IN PERPETUITY DALLAS SAFARI CLUB LIFE MEMBER SCI FOUNDATION MEMBER

talk to a taxidermist here. They hollow out a couple inches of the horn to do a head/shoulder mount. Make the hole about 1" diameter and just use a short peg to connect them to a base. Look at custom furniture/cabinet makers, maybe to do something to your specs. Rich DRSS
