No they sure aren't. In fact it takes a really good tannery to get them clean without bleaching them. (Bleach will whiten them but will make their hair brittle and porous so they will hold dirt and not last nearly as long)

Fabulous mount, and a gorgeous trophy. Just extremely well done, on all counts.

I don't think my back will ever allow me to chase mountain goats, so I am envious. He is absolutely beautiful.
