OK...now that I understand how to post pics I have included some shots of my modest room. I have another buffalo, leopard, klipspringer and 150 class whitetail on the way.

Very nice David. I need to paint the walls in my room a similar color, it shows off the mounts better.

Which one of those mounts are you trying to feed with the bowl of food by the zebra's butt?

Frank,

Thanks - The bowl of food is for our resident feline but if she craps on my bear rug one more time she might be rugged right beside it.

David,
Nice room. Does your buff seem to big for the room?
I only ask because i dont have any tall celings in my house. If i get a buff i am not sure what i am going to do with it.

I have walked in the foot prints of the elephant, listened to lion roar and met the buffalo on his turf. I shall never be the same.

Thunder Head,

A larger room would be nice but you work with what you have. I have an 8 ft ceiling in that room so as you can see with the buff mounted in the sneak position it is almost touching the top. That leaves it at almost perfect eye level so it works OK. The challenge is that I shot another buff and leopard last year that will be on the way soon. I think I am going to do a pedestal mount with the buff and shorten the neck so it will sit in a corner close to the wall and do the leopard as a floor mount. The difficult thing with the buff and eland is they stick out about 4 ft from the wall so with a small room I think you need to get creative with your mounts which I haven't done to this point. Anyway I would rather spend my money on more hunts rather than building a bigger trophy room. When it gets full then I can stop spending money on taxidermy and have even more to spend on hunts.
