Hi Guys, Late last fall I rebedded the .376/.416 Steyr Improved (also known as .416 Aagaard) Mauser. Is a 22" Douglas barrel on a commercial FN Mauser Action. Has a Timney trigger and homemade custom mounts for a 1.8-5.5 Zeiss Conquest with Leupold QRW rings. Using a cast bullet load (35.0 gr AA 5744 with a 400 gr ww bullet sized to 0.417" and lubed with Carnauba Red) it took a three rounds to find the bull. Target section shown here has a centered group of three rounds from the .416 and a group above it from a 6.8 SPC II. Decent group for cast bullets at 100 yards: Mike -------------- DRSS, Womper's Club, NRA Life Member/Charter Member NRA Golden Eagles ... Knifemaker, http://www.mstarling.com | ||
