Can Star sizers be modified so that they won't leak LBT blue soft? Can they be rebuilt with better seals or something?

FISH!!

Heed the words of Winston Smith in Orwell's 1984:

"Every record has been destroyed or falsified, every book rewritten, every picture has been repainted, every statue and street building has been renamed, every date has been altered. And the process is continuing day by day and minute by minute. History has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present in which the Party is always right."

I don't think you'll ever get a Star to be leak free with LBT soft. For this reason Veral Smith recommends that you don't use LBT soft in the Star sizers and stick to regular Blue or the Commercial formula.

The only solution you may want to try is a bullet that is a thousandth or two larger before you size it. But unless you are sizing the entire bearing surface of the bullet you'll still probably have the leaking problems.

Are you having problems while you are sizeing the bullets or while the sizer is heating up. If you have your problem while sizeing try not using so much pressure ( dont tighten it so much) If it is leaking past the bullets you might not have the nose punch adjusted properly. I have two star sizers and they can be a bit of a bitch to adjust but I like them a lot. I bought all the Hard Lube that C & H had at one time including some that was to large to fit. I figure I can melt it down and pour it into a mould when I figure how to make one.

Good luck hope this helps.
