Had a good friend who said he had a lot of reloading stuff I could have as he wasn't going to shoot enough to load. He also said I have some lead so I go out to get the stuff and he had a complete reloading set up that had some stuff I didn't have. The lead was about 5" of pure lead and a 40" plate of what he called lead. I took one look and said that isn't lead as I worked for the co. that molded that it is pure zink, I worked on the furnace that produced it.
Now what to do with pure zink?

Buy a .54 caliber roundball from Lee pour the zinc out, and then build yourself a magnum slingshot. Those puppies should go thru a tank!

Why not take the zinc sheet to a scrapmetal dealer, sell it, then purchase wheelweights or Pb?

I think you will have a very hard time finding anything that will melt zinc. You would be best off to sell it and either buy lead or ww, as has been suggested...
