45Nut, I've got an 1893 Marlin in .38-55 too that is a tack driver. It's a nice little short rifle with a mint bore and it shoots .379" cast bullets well. I've used it to take several deer and it's a pleasure to carry in the woods. I like the .40-82 Model 1895 but it's a bit heavy for casual strolling through the woods.
