I haven't tried it on game, but just made a new HP pin for mine because I thought the original pin was too large for good casting and the large cavity would limit penetration. Tony

Why not just a plain old flat meplate? They kill well.

Lloyd....Jumptrap killed a deer with one several years ago with a 44 Mag then traded the mould to me. He can probably give you the ins and outs of it.

I'm like TonyB....the cavity is too large which makes the walls fragment upon impact so I made a new pin for a .140" diameter cavity.

Shoots great in my 444 Marlin. Also made a plug so I can turn out "solids"./beagle

I was able to pickup one of the non-HP versions of this mold and really like it in my Redhawk. I think it was numbered as 429640 and casts a nice 280 grn bullet very similar to the LBT LFN.
