I am having a bolt rifle built in .425 Westley Richards. Jim Kobe has consented to do the metal work as soon as Krieger gets my barrel done. There are not, obviously, many barrel makers doing the .425/.435" barrels. It will give me time to make Jim four dummies to do the work to make a standard military 98 feed rounds, and open up the bolt face to magnum (+/-) size.

Even fewer that would even discuss making me a mold. I have great success with NOE, but his success has come at a price. They are having to transition to bulk orders, and we all know how many 425WR rifles are out there. Yeah...

Enter Accurate Molds, in SLC. His website and catalog are amazing, and he responds to individual customer requests for ONE mold, and offers three weeks, as a rule, from time of receipt of payment and a design to shipping.

I wanted an RFN with tumble lube grooves, to take a 44 mag gas check, and come out around 410 grains out of 95/3/2 alloy. Bore riding nose to engrave about .0005" and a body about .436", body and nose in roughly equal proportions. My goal is to powder coat, so the groove design features shallow multiple grooves.

For those of you interested enough to check his website, it is www.accuratemolds.com The mold number is 44-410EU.

He designed one for me in a single day.

I sent him a PMO for $121 to include Priority Mail, for a two cavity mold made of brass on October 7th. The mold arrived via the USPS this afternoon.

I will be making bullets in the morning, and check back in tomorrow afternoon with the results.

As you know Rich I work with some off the wall stuff also. Tom has been my "go to" guy since the first time I bought a mold from him. I can't say enough good about him. I suspect the bullet from his mold will be a dandy for you. Good post.
