Figured y'all would like to see what we did here in the [Indun] territory. As you know we have several clubs what shoot the military bolt match, and a state shoot off since 1998. OKSMLE was the feller what got the whole thang goin'. Welllll, gotta have a trophy to go with braggin' rights. Right? And to stay on topic, we got lots'a fellers what shoost cast boolits, me for one. I was afixin'ta deliver it to this year's winner tomorrow but looks like the wx is going south on us, so they'll have to settle for pictures 'cause I ain't adrivin' that fer in the snow and ice. Here's the link: http://home.valornet.com/corkyconnell/ Scroll down to Traveling Trophy. sundog

sundog( where is oksmle ??), oksmle's talk on shooters got me started. i went to the aurora gun club and asked to start shooting MBABR. they weren't sure what i was asking, but i finally got dates on the calendar. we shoot the 4th sat of the month, spring to fall. anyone here in the denver metro area is welcome...just let me know. now we aint shooting like the scores you have listed in the 2001 shoot. but maybe the ok shoot weekend/month, we could shoot in co and have a NATIONAL champ ??? understand the modesto ca club shoots also...... mike

Way cool, Mikey! A National Champ, and ONLY for braggin' rights. That's what this thing is all about, even though when it's trigger pullin' time, serious work begins. NO equipment race. Set at the bench, pop a few caps, enjoy fellowship with the other shooters, and brag on your last good score, 'cause it won't stand for long! Heck, we'ev even got some kids what shoot with us! OKSMLE will attest better than I, but at the beginning scores are so-so, then with a little time they blossom! As time goes along and give a little press in your club newsletter, more folks show up. I guess the National Champ would have to be postal. sundog
