Send payments and order forms. I'll post a zip code list to keep everyone updated. when we get 25 orders, we'll set a cutoff date then put the order in. If we don't get 25 orders, we'll go from there. Payments can be sent back if the 25 aren't reached.

You can print and send this or email me

I will also take two molds and will get the check in the mail tomorrow.

We may want to consider a sizer order, too. Lee makes one at a nominal .314; however, mine sizes to .3125 and would probably be hard to polish evenly if you need a full .315. I don't know how close Lee will hold tolerances (some of their molds have been +/-.004), but maybe if we specified .316 it would end up somewhere at .314-.315?

Lar.45 Just got back from an out of town call. Got your email. Got the check off, finally. There's a few extra bucks in the check to take care of any extra expenses, just in case. If you don't need them, just add them to the kitty. I've not had a problem with other custom molds the group has done. If a problem develops, I'll work with you, and thank you for your time. So far 2 custom molds and no problems, hope this continues. Gee, there are people out there really trying to hurt us. Think we could get the authorities to get their priorities straight? Thanks for your time & concern. Ron.D

Six each, no excuse me - just Five (5) each (six hole high production FAT 30) mold production slots left .....

Going -- going -- soon will be gone.

Will you just sit on the fence and be like I was on the last of the .35 six hole mold deals? I still kick myself for not getting in on the last one, the six hole 180 grainer --- but I never really got TOLD it was ending so durn soon. I'm blowing the big steam whistle, can you hear it ?? This steam boat is getting ready to depart !! All aboard who are coming aboard !!!

So you think you will never own a Rooski, an Argie, a Smelly or a Jap? You will never own a 30-30 Marlin microgroove lever gun or know a family member or a friend who is going to ask you for some cast plinker rounds for one of these guns? You are never going to see a standard 30 bore gun with a washed out, eroded throat? Guys, this mold covers a LOT of turf and the design looks to be a good one.

Has somebody posted this design on the lever-gun boards for all those poor souls who still think you can't shoot cast in a Microgroove barrel? How about the Cowboy Shooter boards? Got any buds on those alternate boards who are getting ready to be left on the dock AND THEY DON'T EVEN KNOW ABOUT IT YET?

Oh hell, I've been trying to sit this out, telling myself I'd sworn off of mould buying, but I do have a Mosin, I do like to shoot it, and I sure do like 6-hole moulds! Single cavities suck! I want in on this.

If somebody does another one for 8mm, I'll probably jump in on it, too.

WHOOOOooooo !!! WHOOOOooooo !!

Boy those riverboat steam whistles sure are noisy !! All aboard who are coming aboard !!

We are down to just 3 slots left, the roust-abouts are slipping off the hausers and are cranking up the gangplank.

There is a passle of cruffers being chased by a posse of cowboy shooters all riding hard for the dock, but it doesn't look like they are going to get here in time ....

Now is when you place an verbal for a slacker buddy who is out of town this week (cover for him, he'd do the same for you).

I think your right Oldfeller. It's time to blow the whistle on this one. As soon as the spoken for mold checks are in, then I'll place the order for 25 molds. That'll leave 3 for the late comers or I'll just sell them on ebay.
So lets say all checks in by next thursday and I'll place the order on Friday for 25 molds.

Best check the other list, you got more than 3 late takers and more are still a' going for the rails & coming on in.

We even got some desperate sounding cowboy shooters riding their horses slap off the edge of the dock and taking them a flying leap from the top of their saddles at the steamboat's railing, just a trying to get on board before we get too awful far away from the dock ....

(sad about them poor old horses, ain't it?)

The "left" ones, the sad ones, they wander up and down the river bank asking "Is the river boat coming back? Will it come back tommorrow? What!! It has already left the county -- it is busy steaming on down to New Orleans?

oh no ...

Aaaauuugggh !!

A different river boat will be here sometime later on next month but this river boat is GONE and it isn't coming back ??!! Not EVER ??? But I wanted to buy me a ticket .....

I too have been a "left" one, on the 180 gr .358" bullet. I was slow and I was slack and I missed it. Sucks, doesn't it? Yep, like a shopvac, it just sucks big-time.

I bet if Lar came back on and said he'd take a late check he'd get hit with 3 of them quick-like instead of just one. Not getting in really really really sucks, it does indeed. And you really don't realize it until it is too late.

I sent that check Friday before last, and my question was directed at Lar's last post saying he was going to update the list Friday, but didn't.

I talked with him today about it.

I think this should do it.
I would imagine about 2months unless Lee speeds things up.

It seems like I should have ordered about 10 extra of the C358-180-RF's.

Sorry if my responces are not as timely as they should be. sometimes life gets busy.

Here is the list to date. Sorry it took me awhile to post it. Been haveing a severe case of CRS. If it's been awhile and I haven't done something I should have, just email and remind me. No offence will be taken.
Looks like we should be close.
I don't think this one will have as large of following as the 30 TL so the order will probably be for just 25.

Marlinlover, it wasn't about you -- it was all about those sad & mornful "left behind guys". And Lar might could be merciful and still take their check because he can call LEE up and increase the order with LEE up until mold cutting week, he just can't ever decrease the order. But it is a pain in the ass to Lar, as it just keeps on coming ....

And them Left Behind Guys will still come in waves (as each new far-flung e-group finally finds out about the FAT 30 by word of mouth). We gain some new membership every time this happens, as they stick around here because 1) this is where it is happening project-wise and 2) we have better discussions and 3) we actually do have kindly list members who will do things for them like buy up their degenerate, unstable milsurp powders and get the stuff properly disposed of at an authorized facility. No other list does stuff like that.

Lew, I got your email, I'll have to check and see if they have processed the order or not.
On the C358-180, Lee got a little grumpy with keeping adding more molds.
When I added more molds to the 30TL, then they made a new order for 5 molds instead of changeing the order from 30 to 35. I'm still waiting to see if they are going to charge me an extra $100 for the setup on a less than 25 mold order. The gal on the phone said probably not, but she didn't say definatly not.
I have 3 molds spoken for, but haven't recieved payment on them. If any one of them doesn't come in within the next week or so, then you can have that spot.
I don't want to leave anyone out, but I don't want to get stuck with extra molds by guessing how many extra I should order. I initially added a couple more to the total, but those are spoken for now. I'll call Lee and see if the order is processed, if not, then I'll add a few more.

Glenn:

I would say a true .315 would be good since most guns will chamber at least .002 over groove diameter, and they will shoot better than at (and certainly below) groove diameter. If someone with a .312 or .313 groove has a tight chamber and needs more, the Lee .314 sizer should take care of that.
