For those of you who don't multi-list, Felix and Sundog are making up a big batch of FWFL high speed bullet lube and are going to be sending out US Postal mailers of lube to those who choose to participate.

Think Veral Blue Commercial lube or Paco Apache Blue lube if you want a comparison.

The price is right, plus it helps support a worthy e-charity that keeps popping off neat new things like low cost custom bullet molds, etc. etc. and keeps a pictorial history of all this progress alive as well.

This activity can be found at

Thanks for your patience,

Folks this is good stuff. I just used some from my first homemade batch and had no leading in a .450 marlin at 1950 FPS although with a gas check. It cleans in a snap as well. Very slick and sticky. Not like hard lube that isn't.

Just my limited observations.

Here is a more specific address to follow the discussion.

If you are interested this will be for about 2 pounds of lube for the $20 donation. Last time I checked this was less than 1/4 the price for commercial stick lubes of equivalent quality. Only major difference between the two is you melt this lube (microwave or stove top) and pour it into your lubriciser rather than have premade sticks that you insert.

Just a reminder that most likely this batch of lube will require heat to make it flow thru a luber. Many things work including the heater sold for such. When I use hard lubes I warm the base with a lite bulb-- haven't bought a heater because I seldom use lubes that hard.

Here is a notation of where to e-mail to get the address to send the check to.

Here is a copy over from the other thread so folks will get the message no matter where they go. Felix and Sundog are going to build mailers full of Felix World Famous Lube and send them out for a $20 donation to help maintain the Castpics.net website.

OK, listers, Sundog said the deal is on. So, please pronto (before interest is lost) your 20 bucks to me.
Email me for my address to send check. Please send a check only, no cash, so it can be returned intact if need be (or requested). I will cash all 20 checks on the same day. fmr72901 at juno dot com ....... felix

So get them e-mails to flying and them checks to mailing.

fmr72901@juno.com is how you would type it into your e-mail.

Aladin, although it would be smart to be able to handle the lube either heated or non-heated, I <think> Felix is going for the softer rifle style lube as it will work OK with "revolters" but doing it vice-versa doesn't work very well (hard revolver lube in our fast rifle loads). Remember, lots of folks don't have a lube heater -- Felix is mindful of that situtation.

Also, I am getting some e-mails that nobody can seem to get on to Shooters anymore (????) so I am transferring the info manually since I did mention it.

It would be a shame if Shooters became a totally sealed environment -- might have to move at that point in time.

Shooters is sealed for posts (registration) to anyone who didn't register before all of the recent changes. The registration page says registration is down or something like that. I frequently look at shooters (ie- cast bullet forum)but am unable to post there. I am sure I ain't the only one. They need to get the registration page fixed.

just my gripes,

The host of this discussion group is having economic problems so no new registrations are allowed. However, existing users can still post (hey, it seems odd to me too!).

However, before registrations closed for new users, someobody had the foresight to register a a generic user that any person could later use to post.

The user is Betty Crocker and the password is the same.

I look forward to seeing a few new "Betty Crockers" on the board! (add your own nickname so we can see who is posting).
