I had a couple phone conversations with Swede Nelson, easygoing owner of NOE this afternoon. Awhile back, I sent him a couple Barnes bullets for the .450-400 cartridges. He has had to hire more help, and buy machinery to try and catch up with increased demand. I just got an Email showing the pre-production dimensions of the solid. HP Spitzer to follow. Any way, the RFN will be 1.240" long, with a .280 diameter meplat. Will use standard 41 magnum GC's. Five bands, and a crimp groove. Bore riding nose will be .399" or .400". From (old) WW estimated weight is 415gr. Figuring the game animals the 3" & 3.25" cases is optimum for, 2000fps should be pretty easy, and work well. Rich

I believe they'd be a little too heavy for my 40 S&W. Steve......... NRA Patron Life Member GOA Life Member North American Hunting Club Life Member USAF Veteran

Think subsonic and a suppressor. you just have to seat them a little deeper...

I'm not too sure how that will work with the poly rifling though. Steve......... NRA Patron Life Member GOA Life Member North American Hunting Club Life Member USAF Veteran

What are you expecting in as-cast diameter? I am going to be looking for something of that weight for my 400 H&H, but it throws .411" jacketed bullets. Hopefully what you have working would drop at somewhere around .413" or maybe a bit bigger if cast from pure type.

take a look at www.accuratemolds.com. Three week delivery from receipt of order and payment. He can make anything you can draw and dimension spec. NOE has gotten too big, with volume orders to respond very quickly anymore. He is making me a special bullet for my .425 Westley Richards at no extra charge. Just pick a design from his catalog, and modify to suit. Rich
