Had a suggestion that we do a "group buy" on some of the Lee 6-cavity mold handles.
Regular dealer price is about $12, and I'll find out on Monday if there are volume discounts as well. Non-priority shipping will probably be about $5, and priority will about $7 (The handles seem to weigh more than the 6-cav molds!).
Anybody interested?

I just checked Midway. Their dealer price for the handles is $11, but shipping is $8 to my zip code (87xxx). I remember about a year ago, Midway had these handles on special for $10 and change.
Unless Lee can cut us a really good deal, it's gonna be hard to beat regular commercial prices.
Still, drop a post here if you'd like for me to continue looking into this.

Go ahead and order from Midway, Tom. No guarantees or promises on if this will even work out pricewise or how long it might take.
If it does work out, the main advantage to this will be that we will, as a group, add another notch to our gun for doing deals with Lee. With the special order molds we've done, and now this, we'll have some real credibility for future orders.

Oops...forgot to mention, if there's a deal, count me in, one or two....I'm not worried about getting the best price, just gaining the trust of Lee so that we can get some more moulds made by them.

I don't mind changing handles. My question is, what is a good substitute for the cheap ass wood handles I seem to break with great regularity? Am I too much of a gorilla?
Grumble, put me down for a pair also. BTW, are you the same guy who posted about the .358 6-cavity molds on Marlin Talk? I can't find that thread anymore, but I did get an email aknowledging that I made the 13th person on the list for the mold. How many do we have now? Lee

Waksupi, I'd suggest a trip to the woods and get some scrub maple. Get a bunch, you'll find all sorts of uses for it. I stored mine in the rafters of the garage to cure. I used some to make handles for my mass amounts of ingot molds. The wood cleans up real well and is fairly strong. It should make a suitable replacement for your handles. The wife had me bore out a few pieces so she can try makeing a flute.
