Told you wrong, but told you right at the same time. What I really shot was 6.0 grains of WC 820(f). Shot the rest of the series today and 6.5 and 7.0 grains really tightened the groups up. Both charges seem to shoot the same and groups ran 5/8" to 3/4". Going past that opened things back up. WC 820(f) is a fast lot, about 13% faster than WC 820. I haven't gotten to the WC 820 yet, but it's sure a possibility. I'd start with 8 grains and go up by halves again. I haven't tried any filler with this load and don't plan to if it keeps shooting like this. There's still seating depth and other lubes to play with. Still a .308 to work up a load for, too.

Will try 4 loads today. This is in a Rem 700;30-06 AA1680-20gr--21gr WC 820-15gr--16gr These have been sized .309 w/FWFL, hopefully I will get decent accuracy at 50 yds.Quickload says I should get 1500-1600 fps with the WC 820,using AA#9 data. ************************************ Just got back from the range-4:00 pm Central Time. The WC 820-16gr load shot 3" at 50 yds everything else shot patterns ,still bad leading .I guess I will need to go to straight WW instead of waterdropped/WW. I will listen to experience and drop down to the 1300 fps range and see if group size drops. Sean
