Here I go off to the wilds of the mint harvest in Canada for one lousy month, and when I come home, you guys have managed to loose the whole Shooters room. Who was in charge? Sheesh! And from what I can gather, Carpetman is building a fence for his neighbor so he doesn't have to look at him, and Grumble is leading in the governors race for California! And Carpetman, I was driving a BIG truck for the past month. I missed a couple of you guys travelling through the area, sorry about that. I've done a major dump of tons of email, so if anyone sent anything important, please send again. Pleae hold the jokes for a few days, lots to catch up on, and I may be returning to Alberta again for a few weeks for other crops. I'll also send that part on separate emails to those I have. Is this our new home? Ric "Waksupi" "It's good to be home" Carter

......."Here I go off to the wilds of the mint harvest in Canada for one lousy month" Ah Ric, you don't do that while wearing a tu-tu, do ya? Worried a bit here......... "And Carpetman, I was driving a BIG truck for the past month." Whew! Had me concerned there fella! "Is this our new home?" I guess. Nice place, but I'm danged if I wish it had chronlogical postings. Ya gotta pull every dad blamed topic up to see who, what, and when, if ya know what I mean. No more scrolling along seeing what's up. Bummer! .........Buckshot

I just want to know how many julips you can make with a months worth of mint picking? Ed elbStJoeMO

I figure we hauled about 285,000 tons of mint, off of 2600 acres. That distilled down to four semi loads of mint extract. That equals around four million dollars in Canadian metric Canuck Bucks. That adds up to quite a few juleps. I was on and off the truck an average of 95 times a day, and lost about twenty pounds. First time in years I had to punch holes on the other side of the belt. Buckshot, tu-tu's definitely weren't the order of the day, although there were some gorgeous ladies working there I would have liked to see in tu-tu's, or less. I agree on the chronological thing. I did see a suggestion to just start a new heading for each day. I don't know if that would work out or not. Probably would, and anyone would be welcome to do a separate heading if they wished.

Hate to tell you this but we might be moving again... Check out the topic 'Cast Boolits' in this forum. There is another place to go and it looks like a lot of people already moving there.

Gents, As was just mentioned above I have set up a forum for Shooters.Com Refugees called of all things...Cast Boolits. I had one thing in mind here...to give us our OWN place to hang our hats...not to take traffic off AR mind you. Just seems that back in the Shooters days I was looking there for a nice place to settle back and look into what you guys were up to. AR doesn't have a chronlogical feature but Cast Boolits does. And That is what set us apart over at shooters. The ablity to just lean back and run through what BruceB and Buckshot,Waksupi, carpetman, et all were running on about. There were some days where nothing but Shooters had reading that was worthwhile. Thats what I am after. Just to regain our own style and flavor....Cast Boolits. Cast Boolits 45nut

Waksupi, glad to see you back! I will confess to some trepidation (is that a word?) at your prolonged absence. Thought maybe you got lost in the shuffle. I don't think this is all sorted out yet, we may end up here or at some other cast boolit heaven. Welcome back. Ernie

Waksupi, glad to see that you are back and well. Bill and I were worried that you were involved with all of the fire-fighting up there. Our trip through Montana started in Libby with a visit to an old friend, then down through the western part of the state eventually to land in Hamilton. Another old friend is part of a very impressive operation that restores and customizes old helicopters. Then on to the Big Hole river for some more fishing. Bill's new pickup is almost as good as a transporter (star trek type), two old geezers armed with large bore peestolas, varmint rifles and fly-rods, cruising down the road at 75 mph. Are all the bartenders in Montana blonde, and pretty? We didn't see much of Somers or the rest of Flathead Lake because of the smoke. We also discovered that you can buy George Dickel in the state sponsored liquour stores. Is this because they have good taste or is it part of an evil plot? Har, we had a great time in your state and will be coming back soon. Sorry we missed you, regards from duke.

Duke - it sounds as though you fellows were properly outfitted fro a trip through this part of the country. I am sorry I missed you guys! But no, not all the bartenders are pretty blonds. We have some red heads and brunettes, also. And yes, we have George Dickel, and generally well stocked liquor vendors in this state. If you drink beer in Montana, it isn't considered to be an intoxicating beverage by the locals. Whiskey is. After spending time in Alberta, I was amazed at how difficult it was to find a beer. Of course, I was far from any civic center, but you would think the small towns would be better prepared for Montana visitors!

Well, see Waksupi, you go off and leave shooters.com unsupervised a few days and see what happened: shooters went away and the flock of "faithful" scattered, didnt even make it to the rally point. You got to watch 'em every minute. Worse'n horses.

Waksupi---That huge truck you were driving that you had to enter and exit so often and made you lose weight,I can see how you did feel all cramped up in it. It is a mini in comparison to that pickup you drive.
