The heat sink is a great idea I use one under each of my casting pots. My heat sinks are made from 1 in. thick aluminum bolted in place. I use them as a mold slide and heat sink and preheat my moulds on an electric hot plate with a 5/8 thick piece of steel plate on it. I set a bullet on the plate too if the bullet slumps turn down the thermostat on the hot plate just a bit. When it is hot I also use fans blowing from behind me on each side to help cool the mould, heat sinks and me..... Hammmerhead

WHEN I'VE GOT A POT OF MOLTEN LEAD GOING I DON'T WANT WATER ANYWHERE NEAR THERE. I'VE SEEN THE RESULTS OF ONE DRIP OF WATER INTO A POT OF LEAD.MY BROTHER IN LAW AN HIS SON WERE BOTH BURNED BY A POT EXPLOSION SEVERAL YRS BACK. I'M NOT INTERESTED IN COPYING THAT MOVE SO I DON'T EVEN HAVE A CAN OF SODA ON MY CASTING BENCH WHERE I'M MAKING BULLETS.

THE 2ND AMENDMENT PROTECTS US ALL.....
