Although some of you, probably all hahahaha, may not miss me, the reason I'm not here alot anymore is I simply don't like the format. I think the ole shooters forum we had was one if not the best.
Is there anything we can do about it? Also alot of you changed your nicknames. I suggest a post with the conversion of old nick to new nick. I know some of them already but not all. A few of us kept our old nicks.

........Starmetal, I'm with you. I dearly LOVED the option of chronological or topical viewing. You had a choice. I always was set at chrono. Going to the other listings I'd tab 'Topical' then picked any of the ones that looked interesting.

The beauty of chrono'l was you could just scroll the entire list of what went on up to the end of the day. I've not seen another website with that option. It was also easy to see WHO had been there, and also WHEN. I sure think it made it easier to keep up with what your buddies were saying about stuff.

Yet this topical only format appears to be what everyone else uses and I guess over time we'll get used to it. My home was at Shooters.Com and specificly the cast bullet page. That's where my pals were. Going to Tuco's, Parallax's, The High Road to name a few were just stopping points where Topical listing was fine. There it was ONLY the topic I was interested in.

Lest anyone think I'm bitiching about THIS website, that's not it. I'm gratefull to be here and enjoy the picture posting ability, something sadly lacking at Shooters. I also hope to make more buddies here. If a software option was availabale allowing a choice for the user to click-on chronological OR topical I would sure be one of the first in line to help defray expenses :-). As one of the Little Rascals used to say, "And that's a fact".

I'm certainly no computer whiz but logic tells me that Chronological is simpler AND less expensive than topical. Consider this: You come to this site, you make a selection from, what, 6 or 7 choices (Forums, Videos, etc); then you make another choice, Cast Bullets, or Single Shot rifles, or Fly Fishing or whatever; Then, for the third time, you make another choice, of topic. That's three splits. Shooters had only one. You only had to make one selection, that which forum you wanted to enter. Obviously that was a lot easier (electronically speaking) than going through 3 selection processes. But we can live with this, skipping over the topics that don't interest us just as we skip over the forums we don't want to get into. Good thing, too. because whoever set this up did it the way he wanted and he sure ain't going to change it for us. I managed to run down the phone number and address of AllVertical and gave it to Felix. They are/were located in Exeter, NH. Maybe Felix can find someone to go knock on their door and try to get the software to re-ignite Shooters.com, the new generation.
