In practice, I do Aladin's method in the field. However, I don't play with the cases or boolits on a unit basis, but only as a composite when closing the bolt. I close extremely slowly doing a care feel job. If the round closes, or begins to close, too tight, I back it out and rotate it slightly for a re-try. Continue doing the same with every round, making for the same feel per shot. Is this good or the best process for genuine accuracy? No, it's the easiest and fastest. Will it wear out the gun before it is time? Yes, because something is still wrong, but it's a compromise in cost between gun and reloading time. If a new BR gun did this with match condoms and cases, then the gun would go back to the builder pronto! ... felix | ||
