Art, I have to jump back in here to say one thing! Go for it. Find an accurate load with cast and shoot, shoot, shoot. Don't worry how fast they are, they will kill any animal. Once you are bitten, I think you will be converted like the rest of us and will look at the boxes of condom bullets, turn away and turn on the lead pot. I have never enjoyed shooting so much since I went totally to grease balls. Yes, I have one high power left and several single shot pistols that use condom bullets. They get shot very little and I quit hunting with them long ago. Just enjoy yourself!

Jacket metals are still way softer than barrel steel. There is the difference that lead bullets are normally lubricated and jacketed ones aren't, however.
