This is going to get me in trouble wife-wise, having just spent a huge amount over Christmas. I'd just taken note of the 1200 FPS 155 grain lead bullet loads for .45 ACP in the Lee manual, calculated that the recoil was about the same as standard hardball (important for good functioning of the action), noted that the energy would be about the same as a 4" .357 158 grain (with the big sharp wadcutter shoulders likely being more terminally effective), and studied the picture on Lee's site. Wouldn't've bought one right away, but saw a thread over on Cast Boolits indicating they had recently become unobtainable. So I Googled, found one at http://www.cascadefirearms.com/LeePrecision2.html and ordered it although it was rather pricey. | ||
