| There IS someone who knows - from a previous post on Shooters.
IF not, we could put together the spec. and see what Bokers would charge to custom make them. I could see some made of brass or copper.
(Who knows they might want to get into the gas check business too?) |

| TRK,
I forgot to check the old Shooter arcive. Thanks for jogging my brain on that one.I google checked and found several places that will custom make whatever you want, but who needs a couple hunnert pounds of washers? One place had 200 different alloys to choose from too..Geo |

| Try a call to CH-4D. They sell swaging dies that use zinc washers and ought to have a source for them. A cursory look on line did not show them listed for sale, but CH uses a miserable Folios platform and they could be in there somewhere. |

| The current 18th Edition of "Handloaders Digest" has an article by Jim Foral on the Harvey Prot-X-Bore bullets. Harvey felt a period of "bore conditioning" by shooting was needed to get the best results, and the washers must fully contact both bore and groove surfaces to work as advertised. Foral lists two current sources for the washers: CH/4D, as noted above @ <www.ch4d.com>; also Sport Flight Mfg. Co, P. O. Box 1082, Bloomfield Hills, MI, 48303. floodgate |

| I got this from a fine gent that sent me a email. Judging from the responces I've recieved there are plenty of you guys interested in that washer based boolit. George Saw your question about zinc washers on AR. There was an older gentleman that was doing just that but he has retired. His machinery was purchased by Hawk Precision (same folks that make Hawk bullets) and Andy is gearing up to make the washers as well as the dies. I've seen samples and they look fine. You can contact him at 856-299-2800. |
