I don't know the guy but my condolences to his family and friends. BTW: With four posts since February of 2005, do you waste a lot of time on the internet? Just a guess, but if you don't know Veral you must not be a big cast shooter. I use to waste too much time on the internet. Learned pretty much that gun forums are a waste of time. Too many people was to argue or don't believe what you've done yourself in shooting.

Glad to know and sad to hear. Veral was an interesting guy. I kind of wish I'd bought one of his molds. I did buy his book on cast bullet use. It is very good. He was a precision scraper, who could recondition machine tool surfaces for instance to ridiculously tight tolerances, and he got interested in cast bullets. But he got mixed up with some posse comitatus folks, quit paying taxes, violently resisted arrest and went to jail. He got out and re-started his business, but the felony made it pretty difficult I think. RIP.

Sorry to hear. He exerted a huge and positive influence on the design and use of cast bullets. There is hope, even when your brain tells you there isn’t. – John Green, author
