Depends on what your cylinder mics out and your bore. I worked on my wife's 38 special. Lapped the cylinders to same as bore. Size LBT 158 gr and NOE 150 gr. wad-cutter to .3590. Cylinders diameters varied wanted consistency.

The cylinder throats on revolvers are suppose to be larger than the groove dia. of the bore and in most cases they are so size your bullets to fit the cylinder throat. My Ruger BH in 357 / 9mm convertible like my cast bullets sized to .359"

Minimum I size for those is .358" and max is .360". I have two GP-100's and a couple of 38's that shoot the .358's great all day long, but my Contender barrels like them at .360" for best accuracy, and no leading. Mike / Tx
