While sizing and lubing some 45 cal cast bullets, I twistwed off the top of the main lead screw that extracts the lube onto the bullet. Does anyone know where I can send it to get it replaced or am I screwed and have to buy a whole new lubrisizer? I was using RCBS lube and it didn't take very much pressure to break it off.
Thanks for the help,
Elk Country

Elk. Been there and done that. I'll bet it broke off right at the base of the pressure screw, right? Lyman sells replacements but I forget the price. It's not much though. You have to take the sizer off the bench and it fits through the bottom. I'll bet the room you were using it in was cold. It has been suggested that they not be used at a temperature below 70 degrees, although if careful, you can get away with about 68 degrees. When you order the new pressure screw, spend the bucks and get a heater for the luber/sizer. Even with the heater though, I bought three spares for mine. It's been a while, but IIRC the screws are around 4 or 5 bucks and the heater about $45, give or take a few bucks. If you have a good hot hair dryer, you can warm it up in about ten or fifteen minutes. I did it that way for a while using a weighted one pound coffee can and duct tape so I wouldn't have to hold it while waiting for it to heat up. Some people use a light bulb. Hope that helped.

Elk, use one of those little trouble lights you buy at the hardware store that has the aluminum reflector bowl and the clamp so that you can conveinately clamp it just about anywhere. You don't have to leave it on constantly as the lube will become too soft. I like the light over the hairdryer because it throws more light on your work area too!
