Pardon me for starting multiple threads, but as a newbie to cast bullets I have lots of questions. Additionally with the change in the weather here, this is becoming more theory lesson for me. I will be loading during the winter for shooting in the spring. The 45-70 and 458WM, 405gr hard cast trail boss loads are nice, slow and accurate enough. I probably will not push these because I don’t have to. I have a JSP that is nice, faster and accurate enough. But I would like to get some cheap 500gr bullets. I don’t think there is a cheap 500gr JHP/JSP. I was hoping to find a less expensive cast bullet and see how hard I can push it. I am not sure which will give out first, my shoulder or the limits of the 458WM shooting cast bullets. Is there a recommended load for the 500gr bullet? Is there a recommended hot load for said 500gr bullets? CISSP, CISA, CRISC looking for a IT Security/Audit Manager spot | ||
