I bought some Cast Performance bullets from Midway..430 dia. at 320 grains and .357 dia. at 200 grains. the .44's ran $22.49 for 100, the .357 at $18.99 a 100.Both are gas checked. Do any of you know where I could purchase a mold for a .357 weighing 200 grains? My Strength Is That I Can Laugh At Myself, My Weakness Is That I have No Choice.

Ballisticast make's cast performances molds. I actually have on of CP's 200 gr 357 gc production molds, possibly their first one. It's a great bullet, has worked well in 357 mag revolver, 357 mag, max and Herret in a contender, 35 whelen and 350 Rigby rifles. That said, I'd save the $50 odd bucks and have mountain molds make me an aluminum one vs getting a balisticast. The online design software is great, and your as cast weight will be within a few grains of the design weight. __________________________________________________ The AR series of rounds, ridding the world of 7mm rem mags, one gun at a time.

Go to http://www.mountainmolds.com and use his bullet design program. He will come very close to design weight. I have LBT molds that don't come anywhere near design weight.

RCBS 35-200. It is a gorgeous design, the mould is steel, so it is less prone to overheat and give you frosty bullets, and it won't cost what a custom mould will cost. I have the mould, and if you wish, will cast up enough of them for you to try the bullet. Send me a PM if you are interested.

Robert Applegate discontinued his mould making awhile back after his stroke. His were THE most precise I have ever seen period! His rifle building was top notch as well. Just thought you all, may want to know. Good shootin'

RCBS molds are machined from cast iron blocks, not steel, the most consistant therefore most accurate bullets I cast are lightly frosted all over. Saeco offers two 38/357 200 gr gas checked molds, a flat nose and a truncated cone design. .02
