I have been considering loading some of the Penn cast bullets in the son's 30Carbine Ruger Blackhawk, the 115 grain .309" diameter cast bullet. The company recommends Alliant 2400 powder in this cartridge with this bullet. Anybody have any experience with these?

i've never used a penn bullet, just casting my own, but i could never get really good accuracy out of cast (ever with gas checks). i tend to believe the jump from the cylinder to the barrel stripped some of the bullet surface. also use h110 not 2400. 2400 is really really dirty
