What powder charges are you using? I like these loads because I can shoot them near home. I don't have take a trip to the range to have some fun.

I recently acquired a Lyman 313492 mould at a good price. It produces a .313" full wadcutter. I cast up a bunch and lubed them with Lee liquid alox. Tried them today with light charges (a dipper made from a 22 short case) of bullseye, unique, and 700x. The unique shot the best so I loaded more up with 2.7 grains of unique. I'm shooting these unsized out of unsized cases. Just punch out the old primer, reprime, charge with powder, and seat a bullet. I shot a bunch of these at 50 yards. They are quiet and they are hell on pop cans, etc. I've been looking for something quiet to shoot in the woods at the edge of town and this load looks good. I've got a lot of experimenting to do now. For my next load, I'm going to size and lube some of these and load them over a stouter load of Red dot. This is fun.

Hey Max, Have been doing the same thing with a little round-nose .32 pistol bullet that weighs 77 gr. Had such good luck with that one that I bought a 100 gr. semi-wadcutter. Haven't tried that yet. Was real accurate out to 50 yds. Another one you might want to try is that little Lee 113 gr. almost-a-wadcutter. The price is right on a 2-cavity mold for that one. Whatever works!

So far the best my Lyman 32 cal wc has done from my TC carbine 30-30 is 2" at 50 yards. That is with light charges of Unique. 2.7 and 4.6 grains. 6.4 grains wouldn't stay on a sheet of paper at 50 yards. Something I noticed about your post that I have a question on. I'm using the .3cc dipper - 2.7 grains, and the .5cc dipper - which gives 4.6 grains, and the .7cc dipper - which gives 6.4 grains. I believe the 1cc dipper gives 9.2 grains. My dippers don't seem to match up to yours. I plan to do more experimenting with some other powders.
