Check out this thread: http://www.accuratereloading.com/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=UBB25&Number=421253&Forum= The Lee 400 gr is a great bullet, 21 gr of H-110 or Lil-gun will be just shy of 1200 fps from a 7 1/2" revolver. I've found the 21 gr charge to be the most accurate, grouping 5 into 1" at 50 yds. As far as the gas check, it really isn't needed in the 480. If you cast from wheel weights and water quench the bullets, you simply can't push the bullet fast enough to cause leading. I also have a 400 gr balisticast that is a gc mold, but it's velocity and accuracy are identicle to the Lee bullet. If you want a good plinker load, try 7gr of unique under the 400 gr bullet, velocity is 600-700 fps, recoil is 44 special level, and accuracy was very good. I'm considering selling the 460 gr WFN gc mold, if you're interested, drop me a pm or e-mail

Paul, I make my own molds and when I get time will make all kinds for this revolver to play with. I have to start with the Lee because I am up to my neck in work. Need Linebough brass too as this gun takes both and I can really jack up the velocity. Going to be interesting and a lot of fun.
