I am waiting for my new dies, and tried to empty old lube from the Star. I am not able to remove the washer/spring/washer from the tube so I can add more lube.
Am I missing something? What is the correct procedure?

I hope it's a how to and not a can't do.

thanks

Mike

Unscrew reservoir cap and feed screw. Invert. Screw feed screw onto threaded part of lube piston and pull up.

It helps sometimes to push the operating handle all the way down while you pull up on the piston, that breaks the air seal and helps you pull it out. If all else fails, contact Magma for directions.

My Star sometimes has required a pretty healthy tug on the stem to pull it out of the reservoir, depending on the consistency of the lube in use. A bit of heat applied to the reservoir with a hair dryer to soften the lube won't hurt either.

Thank's to all.

It worked! I think that is the last mystery for me and my Star. This means I will be totaly stumped sometime soon.

Thanks again

Mike
