got any good dope for it yet? Haven't decided on a scope yet either. Might wait until after the holidays and see what comes up on the sale pages. I'm looking forward to trying the 308-165-SIL among others. sundog

Sundog, I have a scope you can try to see if you like the style. It's a brand new (condition) 6X Weaver target AO, with a specialized dot like what's in the BR gun. It hasn't been mounted since customized. ... felix

Sundog..I have not hooked my chronograph up in abut ten years so I am only guessing. I use 50/WC872 under the 165 RCBS Sil and get great accuracy. The alloy is air cooled WW +2.5% tin. I figure I am getting somewhere between 2 and 2.2K.

Felix, that might just be a GOOD reason to come to your place to visit! Not the either of us need a particular reason. I'll have my base and rings all picked out (one inch, right?). Wouldn't take anything to slap the scope on there and make a run to 'da riva' since it seems you need a little prod. (Take a lever gun, too, for some fast action on charging beer cans!) Then, we can decide if it's what needs to go on that rifle. Hagglin' after that if we think it's a good combination. Thanks for the offer. sundog

Charger, that looks like a good load. I don't think we have any WC872, but we can ask WOODS to get us some from HiTech for when he comes down to help us with the lead cookoff. ... felix
