I think I saw one on Ebay, late last week. Might still be active. You'll probably pay through the nose for it.

I won't bid against you, I got outbid at 74.99, last one i saw went for over 100.00. to rich for me, Dan lynch could whip you up a new 2 cavity heavy weight for 95.00 or a single for 75.00 that way you can have one to fit your rifle. If you're serious about it there's still time on the second auction. Good luck bidding.

I have a mint condition single cavity 3589 with the original cardboard box. I really don't want to sell it, but for $150 it can be yours.

If you ever come across one at a reasonable price, get one.

I luckily traded into one several years ago, and it is one of those molds that lives up to the hype. The only time I've put 5 shots into 1" at 100 yds was with that bullet.

Just make sure that any modern version is an accurate copy, not someones idea of what the 3589 should be.

I found one at one of my local gun shops for $35. Eeker It's a double cavity and casts a really nice looking bullet. Only one problem, the shank for the gas check casts out too small. Frowner
The bullet mold to find is a David Mos copy that some of us on cast Boolits had made up that we call the 3589I (I for improved.) A big bunch said they wanted one and IIRC, only about 6 people actually put out the cash. IIRC, two molds were two cavity and four were single cavity. The only difference was we had a small 1/8" flat placed on the nose.
One of the big problems on getting Lyman to make a run of these molds is they just don't want to bother Mad and they use the excuse that the cherry is no longer available and they don't know the proper dimensions to make up a new cherry. bsflag bsflag bsflag
Oh well, I have issues with Lyman anyway on how well they backed up a piece of equipment I had that fried and they offered absolutely no help, even after I wrote their CEO about my complaint and the rudeness I was subjected to.
I would think that if enough people wanted that bullet, and someone led the parade, they probably could get David Mos to make up a few more of those molds. When he made mine, the price was $100 for a single cavity and $125 for the double cavity. Pricey? A bit but what you get is a very well made mold that uses the RCBS handles and casts extremely good bullets almost from the get go. Almost? I think it took three casts and the bullets were great.
What we did was send him samples of the 3589 with the change of the slight flat on the nose for a bit more smack down power.

I'm not even sure on how to contact Mos anymore as I heard he moved.

This group buy has been over for some time...Blammer was the honcho and he had OLD WEST BULLET MOULDS cut the cherry and make the mold 358009 FP ...This version has a very "flat nose"...You should be able to buy the mold from OLD WEST...

Blammer has photo's of this bullet so you would have to PM him to see the photo's as they don't seem to be on the cast boolit website any more as far as I can tell...
