Ed, Mike and Randal your bent bolts are on the way to you (US Postal Service). And that my friends is the last of them !! I'd like to especially thank Mike in Colorado for lending us his bending blocks, threaded insert and cooling jell to do the bolt bending fund raiser. Mike, the extra battle scars on your bolt bending blocks are a mute testimony of your good heart and your good sense of community. Thank you. And that is what makes this group special, we can group together to do things like this fund raiser. I trust the Root's Roost Rendezvous can't help but be a success with a supportive group like this one. Oldfeller [ 09-15-2003, 00:23: Message edited by: Oldfeller ]

Mike in Colorado posted me back he will be out of town for a week, he is going on vacation. He is going on the road to pay a visit to Armalite, Midway, Hornaday and Sierra -- now that is a real gun-person's vacation, don't you think? Where would you go visit on your "dream vacation"? I'd go pillage around at Numrich Arms and visit a couple of the big mil-surp distributors (I'd sure show them what hand-select really means). And I'd drop by a barrel maker or two, to look around in their cull barrels .... Where would you go? Oldfeller

By god Kelly, Your vacation sounds like a goodun to me. Been to Sierra once. Need to go back for reinforcement. And buy some unmentionables. A trip through Numrich ought' be as close to going through Bannerman's as we'll ever see in this world. Got a bunch of OF cast up. Gotta lube and load. Got a bunch more needs to be cast up. Been too busy lately, and it was too hot in Okie land last few months. Wish't I'da sent you a bolt. I decided to saw it off and weld a new one on. Hope it works. Starting a kid gun project. A 98 turk with a samco swede barrel and new bolt handle. Wish me luck. First time for me. Finishing up the last of the deerburger tonight. Got it cooking in the Dutch oven with some sliced taters, onions, spaghetti, peas, and a little garlic. Gonna add some tomato's last. Don't have any corn or green beans (fresh, froze, or canned) handy. Smells great and lunch was nine hours ago. Be another hour of cooking. Anything else I'm leaving out? Talk to you later; Guy

Sounds Like he's going to be in central Missouri, ought to try Graf's up in Mexico Missouri. They usually have unadvertised specials at the location. A little farther north into Iowa and he could hit brownell's. Hope you have a good vacation. I just came back from mine, didn't go to any manufacturers but got to play with 4 grand kids for a week. elbStJoeMO
