Pulled the Pro-Melt out today and cast some 148gr WC. First time I have done that since I quit IHMSA Silhouette 25 years ago when I used to shoot 180gr cast bullets in my 357 SuperMag.
It still works and it's still fun.

How did you stay away from it so long? I have been working out of state for about six months, and of all the firearm-related hobbies I have, I miss my casting pot the most. To the extent that I am driving ~3 hours one way tomorrow to purchase a used Pro-Melt and about 250# of alloy. I don't have any moulds up here yet, and I don't know that I will find a storage area with electricity so I can set things up, but being away from my casting stuff is driving me nuts! I WILL figure out something...

Glad to see you back at it, Blacktailer...

Took them down to my range and tried them out in my new S&W 642CT. Worked great. Nothing like the smell of hot bullet lube! Wink
