Gentlemen, I realize this is a cast bullet site, and this question involves both lead and copper fouling, but you seem to have more experience with fouling than anyone else, so here goes. Do any of you have any experience with the solvent called 'extreme coppermelt'? It has a site at coppermelt.com, and an ad on p 93 of the Dec Handloader Magazine. Their ad and the material on their site reads like the old Herters ads - this stuff is perfect in every way, etc. However, they say it cleans barrels using 'enzymes'. I have worked with enzymes for 40 yrs and have never heard of any enzymes that would solubilize copper or lead. I therefore have my doubts. If any of you have tried this material, I would appreciate knowing your results. It is fairly expensive, but if it really works like they say, it might be worth the price. Thanks.
