I am getting ready to order a boolit size die for my .356 Win. I tapped a slug into the throat and it agrees with the reamer dimensions for the .358 Win given on Clymer's website. The throat starts at .361" and tapers at 1.5 degrees. I am also ordering the RCBS 35-200-FN mold and that will be the boolit for the time being. It seems a .360" size die will work unless boolit springback makes it to large.

Anybody using this combination of the RCBS boolit and .360" sizer in a .356 or .358 Win? I am wondering if I should order the .359" sizer instead?

Marc, I have used the exact set-up you describe in my 356 with good results. I really recommend the Lyman 215 SWC designed for the 357 Max if you can find one. Tony

Mark, AnthonyB, I also use the RCBS 35-200 in several 35's. In the 356, I shoot it unsized and only lubed. Same thing in the 357 Max and the 35 Rem. Mine so far have been right at .359 - .360 and I've used primarily the LEE Alox and all seems to be OK unless I start to push the velocity envelope a little.

I've also used a light load and the 357 - 158 SWC to take squirrels and such. Makes an awfully nice plinking load too. xp

Thanks fellows, I know we discussed this at shooters but I didn't write anything down. The .360" sizer it will be. I suppose the mold may not even cast that big so it will just be a lube die.
